Michael Hennemann, born in 1973, paddles, lives and studies in Kiel, Germany. He discovered his enthusiasm for wilderness travel and kayaking during his training as a photo-technical assistant in Freiburg. On his first trips he explored the Black Forest and the mountains close to the border of France and Switzerland.
He then began his studies in geography. Back to the north of Germany he has also moved closer to his most beloved travel destination. He has explored Scandinavia on expanded routes and during all seasons for more than seven years: by bike, on foot, with the kayak or with snow shoes. He has written about his travel experiences in numerous magazine publications and travel books.
